Revalidation is the process that all nurses and midwives in the UK, and nursing associates in England, need to follow to maintain their registration with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council). We at Crown Care Services will provide support to nurses, midwives and nursing associates who may find it difficult to meet the revalidation requirements.

  • 35 hours of Continuing Professional Development (of which 20 hours in participatory i.e. face to face) in three years.
  • Five pieces of feedback from others in three years.
  • Five written reflective accounts in three years.
  • A reflective discussion with an NMC-registered nurse or midwife, built around code of practice.
  • Completing a health and character declaration.
  • Professional indemnity evidence.
  • Signed off by a confirmer (usually the line manager).

Newly Qualified Nurses

We accommodate newly qualified nurses by offering them placements in a variety of settings based on their preferences.

Overseas Qualified Nurses

If you are a nurse which achieved their qualifications oversees, Crown Care Services can help you to join and register the NMC and work in the UK (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland).

We understand that the registration with the NMC is not an easy job and guidance may be needed. Throughout the process of NMC registration we can facilitate and ensure that:

  • you are ready to join the NMC,
  • you meet the qualification and eligibility criteria set out by NMC,
  • you have taken the CBT and OET test and meet the set the minimum criteria.

Once the NMC registration is completed satisfactorily, Crown Care Services will be able to advise and facilitate you in securing a sponsorship certificate. Sponsorship is a requirement made by the Home Office and it allows you to be issued with a Tier 2 Visa. We will be able to help and prepare your visa application.

Once Overseas Qualified Nurse has got a Tier 2 Visa, we will assist in your move from your native country to the UK by finding suitable accommodation and guiding you about the local community and social life.
